Technical Coordinator (Mandarin Speaking / Writing Preferred)

Summary/Objective:

The Technical Coordinator is responsible for global data and document control of the full Maxam product line.  Involved in development tracking and quality analysis of ALL Maxam product lines. This role requires monitoring and reporting of global development and quality including global warranty review and analysis. Position works directly with Director Global Engineering, Regional Directors, Field Engineers and Factory Engineering Group. The Technical Coordinator will also work with multiple teams to meet product deliverables and ensure specification accuracy within company systems.

Job Description:
  • Upkeep of a centralized data file for ALL Maxam products and information, including:
    • Drawings
    • Product Data Files
    • Release Documentation
    • Global Field Reports
    • Global Warranty Reports
    • Quality Reports
  • Assist in the tracking of new product development timelines through communication between factory and engineering team
  • Liaison between internal engineering team and factory for program issues or concerns
  • Review and analysis of Global Warranties
  • Generation and completion of Corrective Action Requests (CAR’s)
  • Create new developed product item cards in Navision
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to resolve Navision issues
  • Work with Finance team to establish, maintain and update product costs in system
  • Assist with tire design reviews and/or modifications using AutoCAD
  • Translation of technical reports from Mandarin to English
  • Sales support for projects requiring engineering involvement.
  • All other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Highly attentive to technical specifications and details, ensure accuracy and applicability of information.
  • Ability to utilize 3D CAD parametric design software, ERP applications, and suite of Microsoft applications. Proficiency in Windows Office Suite and AutoCAD with excellent communication skills.

  • Able to correctly specify materials, technical processes, and machine functions and operations.
Required Education & Experience:
  • University Engineering degree in mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of working in a technical/quality/engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Professional experience in the tire industry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Control system is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English, spoken and written is preferred
  • Experience with Navision (preferred), SAP is considered an asset.
