Position Reporting To:
OEM Sales Director
Summary/Objective:

This position requires a dynamic and motivated individual to drive and develop the technical performance of the Maxam product. Requires monitoring and reporting of the product performance and the ability to adjudicate on claims and recommend development improvements.  Position works directly with Engineering, Sales Director, Supply Chain and Customer Service.

Job Description:
  • Technically supporting the sales team in achieving corporate sales objectives.
  • Customer-facing representation for Maxam Tire on issues related to quality, field failures, and product performance.
  • Field follow-up visits to optimize the product performance and allow benchmarks to be reached.
  • Support customers by offering training on product offering and correct application.
  • Propose customer solutions across different applications with the use of product range available.
  • Process warranty claims; execute claim surveys to establish causes and liabilities; instruct clients and end users for prevention.
  • Monthly reporting on warranty claims; data analysis showing claim trends and problem areas; implementation of corrective action.
  • Work with international factory engineers to develop process initiatives to improve product quality and performance.

  • Basic knowledge of quality concepts, approaches and processes competence with Quality System tools and strategies (Data Analysis, Statistical Methods, Problem-Solving, Corrective Action)
  • Ability to pull, analyze, organize, and report on data relating to sales, warranty claims, applications, etc.
  • Working knowledge of common manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, or ProEngineer.
  • Must be hands-on and able to work in a dynamic work environment, Team Oriented, Positive Attitude, Multitask capability.
Required Education & Experience:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing Degree preferred, or equivalent number of years of Sales and/or Sales management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree:  Engineering, or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • 3-10 years of related experience in tire or tire related industry with progressive growth experience.
